How the Paramatma helped in Genoa, Italy: three stories

In a butcher’s shop I observed an old man buying meat and wine, posing as though he is a wealthy person, sort of showing off to everyone.

At that moment I thought, “If only I could offer him some books, but this isn’t the most suitable moment.”

After some time, in the village, I saw him again, talking to a woman before getting into a car. So I approached him, but he didn’t immediately show any inclination. At that moment a lady on a bike passed by and urged this man to get himself a book.

A particular inspiration came to me, and turning to him I asked, “Your name is Roberto?”

He was flabbergasted and said: “How did you know! Did the ladies tell you that?” The ladies denied this.

With the support of my renewed enthusiasm, I tell him, “I know many things.” Roberto at this point, without hesitation, said: “Yes, it’s fine. Give me the book.

I said to a lady on the street, “This book is for you. You look like a mother, by the way.”

I rarely say that to women, but maybe the Super soul inspired me. She was struck by this statement and stopped in front of me with her eyes wide open.

Soon she said, “Yes, I need these books. I’ve been alone for some time with a three-year-old girl, because my partner committed suicide.”

On the street I talked for a while with a man who follows Buddhism, but in the end, kindly, he said that he can’t take the book.

Then he kept going, up and down the same road, back and forth a few times.

For the umpteenth time, seeing me still busy trying to offer books to people, he nodded at me and said, “It’s not easy, right?”

I answered. “It’s the world of maya.”

About ten minutes later he saw me again and came toward me and handed me a donation.

“Yes, I’ll get the book. I really liked what you said: “It’s the world of maya!”
