I would like to share my experience while distributing Srila Prabhupad's transcendental literatures last saturday. I along with Mahesh prabhu (One of our Bhakti Vriksha devotee) were distributing books door to door near our local area. It was more than one hour,no one was buying the books.
We came to an apartment,but the security rejected entry,however the president of the apartment allowed us to proceed after understanding that we are not just salesmen.
We met a muslim mataji in the same apartment,she gave us a good reception and was happy to hear about the importance of Bhagavad Gita. she was happy to hear that in our movement we have devotees from the muslim background too. We were completely moved,When she spoke "Actually in these scriptures there is no mention of any particular religion,it is all from the platform of atma".It was due to ignorance only people are fighting based on caste.She further said please distribute these literatures, so that people could come out of the ignorance.It is our duty to give this knowledge to others.
She concluded that she had done some sukriti in her previous life otherwise how is it possible for these sacred scriptures to reach her house without any personal effort. She happily took a copy of Bhagavad Gita and one message of Godhead in the local language(tamil) and said would definitely read atleast one sloka a day.She also said she would visit our local temple.
