Caitanya Gets the Mercy of Lord Caitanya
In San Jose California I was at a book table when a young teen indian boy stood by the table suddenly, I asked him, "What is your name?"
He replied,"Caitanya." I became instantly happy and showed him picture of ord Caitanya. Then I explained to him about the Bhagavad-gita and the concept of the soul. I asked him, holding his hand, "What is this?" He replied, "This is my hand." Then I pointed to his nose, he said,"This is my nose." Then I pointed to his eyes, he said,"This is my eyes." Then I asked the billion dollar question,"THEN where are YOU??" He started laughing, I then showed him the transmigration of the soul picture and explained it to him, "We are not this body but the soul within the body."
I was so happy explaining it to him because he was absorbing every concept with good understanding like a Sponge. Later he told me that he is reading Harry Potter book so I told him I have here every book on philosophy and only one story book, ie Krishna Book and showing him I tried to convince him to take it but he said his mother won't buy it for him. Seeing his eagerness I said, "Then cry to her to buy it as you do for a chocolate bar."
He then went to his mother and they seemed to be having a discussion Later as they were getting into the car his eyes met mine and it said that he wanted the book but his mother was not listening. So I took the Krishna Book, went to her and said, "Your child likes this book." I explained, "It contains Krishna's pastimes, showing the pictures in it to her.
She said, "Oh, we have Bhagavad gita." I said, "This is Bhagavatam the stories of Dhruva, Prahalad and Narshima comes from this book." Then she immediately bought the book. I put it in his hand, he then smiled ear to ear, then he wisked into the car saying: "I'm going to read it right."
I suddenly felt jealous of him because he accepted the Absolute Truth so easily, and at such a young age. But I am happy to be an instrument in connecting Caitanya With Lord Caitanya.
