Book Distribution in Dhotis

There are also some good news from sankirtan in Slovenia. We were following your instruction that we can try to do SK in dhotis. And the results are above all expectations. We are now distributing 3 or 4 times more than before and all devotees here are in extasy because now every week goes out around 250 books. And our young SK devotees are becomming more bold and they are inspiring others also. Because before they would distribute a few books all week and if somebody would ask them how is sankirtan they would say"It's great, BIG purification". But now they have big smiles on their faces and this is best preaching. We reduced the prices also because before the price was more than double BBT. But still we cannot racionalize how it is happening. First we were afraid what people woud say but now we see that people are first class. It is exactly as you said, some people will be against but on the other hand some nice people will come up. And it is not really that there are some demons but they just immediately close the door. And it is great because you dont waste time with useless people. But majority of the people is nice, specially because Yoga and Meditation is very popular and Cristians have many, many scandals with child abuse… And of course over all years devotees were very nicely cultivating people. And in the media there is no bad publicity against Hare Krishna. There are many advatages by wearing dhoti.
First of all people get benefited and sometimes they just stop us on the street and ask spiritual questions or asking for books or CD's. And the preaching is more pure and behaviour also! We are all day exposed, we cannot hide anywhere. And it is very good for our consciousnes because we cannot stare at the storefront windows, we cannot joke loosely with the girls, we cannot pass urine or spit anywhere because people are all the time watching us. And acctually many people have respect for us, even if they don't want the books they are not slaming the doors heavily like to some salesman. That we are all the time in dhotis is also great encouragement for the congregation to not hide ourselvelves all the time. Of couse the principle is the same if we are mental or proud then people are just loughing at us and if we chant our rounds sincerely then everything goes smoothly. We are praying to Krishna that we could be fearless and proud to be devotees of Krishna.
