A BLISSFULLY BEWILDERING MARATHON BEGINNING

I wasn’t expecting anything as the marathon kicked off, but right away Krsna encouraged us as multiple Bhagavatam sets flew off our book tables.

One guy got a $20 stack, later he came back and got a $50 stack, and the third time he came back I thought he must love these books so much I pitched him the entire Bhagavatam set and he took it!

Then a lady who runs a charity fell in love with the Bhagavatam set and took it straightaway!

Sometime later a South Indian prince who always wanted a Bhagavatam set came by and took one. I’m not sure he was really a prince, or even sane, but if he reads what he got, I know the Bhagavatam will purify his intelligence.

An American farm boy living in Manawatu was having such a bad day he didn’t even want to make eye contact. But after he took a Bhagavatam set, he sent me a Facebook message, which I’m sharing below. I asked him how much he thought the set was worth. When he said $400, I said $250 but anything above is a donation so people generally give $450–and he took it!

Next one Maori spiritual warrior who had already read the Gita fell in love with the Bhagavatam set. After shopping for groceries at Countdown, he took the set. Coincidentally, Nitai Jiva Prabhu sold a set to a guy at Pak’n’Save’s car park who also had Prabhupada’s books and appreciated them. Nitai Jiva also sold another set to his Indian congregation in Whanganui.

Now we only have one set left, so we have to get one of the boys to drive out and bring us more sets. A blissfully bewildering marathon beginning indeed!

Matsya maha marathon ki jaya!!

Srila Prabhupada ki jaya !!
