Buddhist Got the Mercy

a letter from Muniraj das We were distributing prasadam in the center of Helsinki, and were just walking to one certain place when one lady ran up to me and said, "Oh, I saw orange robes, I thought you were from Mahayana. But you are a Hare Krsna. I thought you were a buddhist. I have found the truth of three jewels." This woman talked more: previously, she studied to be Christian priest, but changed to Buddhism while visiting the East. She had nice realizations about the material world; her husband got a new woman and so on. Now...

Los Angeles SD Newsletter VOL. 3, ISSUE 23

I think that it's wonderful how Mahat tattva Prabhu is able to give so many books to visiting students and to different shop keepers and other people in the city without pushing them for a donation. Not to say that asking for money for the books is bad, but Prabhupada did allow books to be given out for free. If financially we can do it, why not?? His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami often says that money is a very very sensitive issue with people. Indeed, money CAN be the cause of many people feeling pressured and upset with us. Giving out...

DISTRIBUTOR OF THE WEEK KRISHNA ON “KWKW” AT 1330 AM By Mahat-tattva dasa Mr. Juan Carlos Molina is a financial advisor and Jaya Gauranga Prabhu was his client. Their first contact was over the phone when they agreed to meet at Jaya Gauranga’s apartment at 3744 Watseka Ave. at New Dvaraka. Mr. Carlos was 15 minutes early so he walked up and down the street waiting for Jaya Gauranga. As the doors to the temple of Sri Sri Rukmini Dvarakadisa were opened he looked in and was amazed with what he saw inside: the glowing beauty of...

You Never Know who you’ll meet on skp

This is a letter from Jnana Caksus Prabhu: Hare Krishna, Please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada! During August I was in Seattle, and in an attempt to distribute books there a disciple of Prthu Prabhu, Jaya Govinda dasa, took me to the Capitol Hill district. This is where the alternative scene is. While driving there he and I discussed the topic of dealing with persons who have left devotional service. So I was distributing, and after about an hour or so, while I was trying to interest one man in a book, a lady...

Narotamma Das Thakur

This is late because I could not get on line yesterday. With great affection Lokanatha Gosvami handed over his dear disciple, Narottama, to the hands of Srinivasa. Again and again he instructed Narottama, "Always remember to serve the Deities and dedicate your life to spreading the sankirtana movement." Narottama happily accepted these instructions as his life and soul, and Srinivasa accepted the charge of Narottama jubilantly. Putting Syamananda and Narottama under the care of Srinivasa, Sri Jiva said, "From now on, these boys...

Dear devotees, Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada. In the beginning of October I was at the annual festival in Divnamorst Russia. He is also the bbt manager for Russia, he also goes out and distributes books and is quite often the number one distributor in the country and sometimes is the number one distributor in the world in our monthly newsletter. I don't know of...

From Chennai, India

I would like to share my experience while distributing Srila Prabhupad's transcendental literatures last saturday. I along with Mahesh prabhu (One of our Bhakti Vriksha devotee) were distributing books door to door near our local area. It was more than one hour,no one was buying the books. We came to an apartment, but the security rejected entry, however the president of the apartment allowed us to proceed after understanding that we are not just salesmen. We met a muslim mataji in the same apartment, she gave us a good reception and was...
