One becomes quickly recognized by the Lord by preaching
If one tries to spread Krsna consciousness all over the world, he should be understood to be performing the best welfare activity. The Lord is automatically very pleased with him. If the Lord is pleased with him, what is left for him to achieve? If one has been recognized by the Lord, even if he does not ask the Lord for anything, the Lord, who is within everyone, supplies him whatever he wants. This is also confirmed in Bhagavad-gita (teaˆ nityabhiyuktanaˆ yoga-kemaˆ vahamy aham [Bg. 9.22]). Again, as stated here, tapyante...

Lecture in New Dwarka on World Enlightenment Day 2000, given by His Holiness Devamrita Swami in the temple room. Thank you all very much for gathering here for this Sankirtana breakfast on this very special day. Sometimes you may wonder, "what is this all about? Why are we going through so much endeavor for all this?" You see Sura Prabhu and Svavas Prabhu running around, making so many arrangements. You may ask, "what is all this commotion for?" We could say, "Well, somebody has to distribute books." You could...

UK devotees try to double their book distribution results during the December “Marathon”. Last year the British yatra distributed a little more than 50.000 pieces of Krishna conscious literature. This year they try to reach 100.000! As Sankirtan leader Sutapa Prabhu writes: “Sharing Krishna Consciousness and pushing beyond the comfort zone to reach out to others, qualifies one to see the miracles of Mahaprabhu.” Read...

by Jiva Daya das I was distributing books at a parking lot when I approached one lady and showed her the books. She said she wasn't very interested but her daughter may be interested. She said she would call her on the mobile phone. After talking to her daughter she said she would be down in ten minutes to see the books. So I continued distributing in the same lot. Then the daughter came down, as soon as she saw the books she said, "yes, these are books that I know I'll find very interesting, do you have any more? I said,...

by Vijaya das Distributing at a university in Washington, I approached one student to show him the books. When I distribute, I show the pictures and explain them a little. One book was "Second Chance" and I showed the student a picture of the out-of-the-body experience, wherein the mind of a man is looking over his body as it is being operated on. He pointed at the picture and said, "That happened to me! That happened to me!" I asked him what had happened. He said that he was in his house and had fallen down the stairs, a...

The new Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, received the Bhagavad-gita As It Is from me years ago. I took the opportunity to give Trudeau the book in 2012, while he was being chauffeured in the India Independence Day Parade. The Montreal Hare Krishna devotees were chanting the Hare Krishna mantra and dancing in the parade. When I saw Trudeau, I didn't know he was going to become the next Prime Minister, but I knew that he was influential, because his father had been the previous PM. I was surprised to see there were no guards to...

We don’t have chance to do public sankirtan here in Turkey yet, however we use every chance to distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books. Our Srila Prabhupada Marathon started with an exhibition called Natura Festiva. We attended this prestigious Exhibition from 26 to 29 Nov which was held in Istanbul. We had a stand there for 4 days. I must admit that it was the best preaching activity for us in public. The exhibition was opening from 11:00 and lasting till 19:00 every day. We had a 4,50 sqm stand which we decorated with our books and...

Our book marathon in New Zealand started on November 2nd. I have been trying to present two or more than two books at a time. My experience is that people at least take one. They find it hard to refuse many books. Still there are those who escape the causeless mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu by making excuses: no money, dyslexic, read online, etc. I had a few services to do at the temple before going out for sankirtana today. A person came to fix something in the kitchen, a very happy and friendly local Aussie. I asked him to eat something,...

Three amazing sales, by Vijaya Prabhu: “At the wonderful Vyasa-puja celebration for His Grace Vaisesika Prabhu, many of his disciples gave him gifts. Sankirtana Dasa, Kumari Lila Dasi, and Iwere thinking about what we could offer him on his birthday. It was late by the time we left, and we were intoxicated by the feast of delicious prasada. We wanted to offer him something substantial, so we set out door-to-door. (We were later joined by Haladhara Rupa Dasa.) We were driving in the neighborhood of Silicon Valley to find the best place...
