We’re still “a new organization” with spiritual knowledge
Last week, we were supposed to be on our way to North Carolina to meet some devotees, but our car was giving us problems. While we were trying to fix it in our parking lot, a car pulled in, to turn around. The driver looked at us, and I waved at him. He drove up to us and asked whether we’re a new organization, and I responded, “Yeah, man, we bought this church just ten months ago.” “Do you like knowledge?” I asked...

Learning from the marathon how amazing things can happen
My sankirtana partner and I were busy distributing books outside of New World, a local supermarket in Foxtrot, New Zealand. By Krishna’s grace my partner had managed to convince the store manager to let us have a table outside of his shop for the day. We loaded our table with stacks of books nicely tied with ribbons. This marathon we focused on two main stacks – the Tridandi set of 3 books and the Bhakti Bomber set of 7....
Another mystical arrangement by Krsna
I arrived in Clevel and last night. I decided to go on a walk this afternoon with Ganga Natha Prabhu and Jai Nitai Prabhu. We were talking about the importance of distributing the Bhagavatam and how the mind is the only thing that gets in the way of our distributing Lord Caitanya’s mercy. I mentioned that Badrinarayan Swami said, “The number-one reason that people don’t have a Bhagavatam set is because no one has...
Nagendra finally stops for books
Today in Manchester, Nagendra dashed past me as I attempted to stop him. He did however capture a momentary glimpse of our “Veda” book and seconds later he returned to find out more. I spoke about “Veda” and also introduced him to the Bhagavad Gita. He then revealed that a couple of years ago someone in the City Centre stood in the exact same spot as me, tried to give him a Bhagavad Gita, and he said he would...
A homeless woman comes seeking the Absolute Truth
There was a woman, looking quite rough, and my initial impression was that she is homeless. I thought, “She is probably like the many homeless people I’ve met who just want a free book and have no donation, unfortunately. But I can’t be giving out free books too much.” So when she came to look at the books, I told her about them, and I thought that the best I could give her was at least a maha-mantra card. I explained it....
