Srila Prabhupadas Brand by Mathura Kisor Dasa
Recently the congregation from CBD Belapur (a suburb of Mumbai) beganharinama-sankirtana after the weekly evening program. I was ecstatic as book distribution becomes easier during the harinama-sankirtana. But the first day I was thinking, “Will it be a good idea as it is already 8 pm and people are in mode of ignorance? Will anyone take books now?” I heard my heart’s voice, “Try to...
The 2010 Prabhupada Marathon and World Enlightenment Day
By Vijaya das Hare Krsna Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. How the Prabhupada Marathon evolved is interesting. The most successful three days in book distribution history up to 1972 took place at the end of that year in Los Angeles. The boy was named Anchal. He had recently come to New Zealand from India, supposedly to further his studies but actually to meet his guru. He related to me how four months after his arrival here...
Another Soul on his Way to Krsna…..
We had just gotten back to New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada, where the Halifax brahmacaris are based while traveling around the province with His Holiness Bhaktimarga Swami. We were in Halifax for the first time in two months to have a Sunday Feast with the devotees and friends of Krishna. When we arrived for the program, there was a young man whom I had met on the street some months back. The day I met him, as he recalled, he was in...
Krsna’s Invisible Hand! And the world sankirtan newsletter
I would like to share a small incident that happened to me while I was doing the smart box service in Houston Texas. After that you can read the world book distribution results for March, I went to one store where the store owner had some of the books in the smart box in Spanish. When I was collecting the laxmi from the box and refilling the books, the store owner told me that he would like me to refill the smart box with English...
