Two Gita’s Meeting
In Karlsruhe, I approached a girl who suddenly exclaimed, "Wow! You will not believe it, but I have this book right here in my bag. Just a second."
I thought, "Who distributed it to her today? I am the only distributor here."
Then she pulled out our Gita, an old edition, and I saw that there are marks in it, both in verses and purports. She is studying it.
I asked her whether she always carries it around, and she answered that she brought it only today, because she had a task at her university about a somewhat weird topic: "Yoga in the Nazi era."
She explained on her paper that Himmler perverted the words of Sri Krishna for the wrong cause.
The fact is that our books are taken into consideration and are used in society.
Then she said, "Well, it is funny that you are approaching me with the same book that is already in my bag. I'll take something else from you."
All I had in my hands was A Higher Taste, so she took it and happily walked away.
Your servant,
Advaita Gaurahari Dasa
