PRABHUPADA MEDITATION KITS FOR SKP
Over the last year or so we have been working to produce a simple and compact meditation kit to aid sankirtan distribution. The idea was to produce a kit that newcomers could appreciate, and begin the process of chanting Hare Krishna.
Bhakta Paul from Bhaktivedanta Manor, had the idea for the project about four years ago when, along with Srila Prabhupada's books he started to give beads out on the street. It became apparant that many people were attracted to the idea of chanting and were happy to begin right away.
For this reason, with the help of the BBT and Tattva Vit prabhu we produced a mini kit called 'The Art of Mantra Mediation.' It contains all the necessary tools and information for people to begin chanting in their own homes. Even if the person did not have time for a devotee to show them how, the kit itself does the job.
The kit (which is half the size of a big book) contains a quality CD with a music section and spoken guide, including the famous Prabhupada commentary, a set of neem japa beads and a mini booklet; all in an attractive box. A lot of time and investment was put into the design and print production to create a product that will appeal to contemporary society.
The kit has been trialed by sankirtan devotees with success, and it has become clear that it's a useful complement to Srila Prabhupadas books – people really seem to be able to relate to it. They can read Prabhupada's words and have the opportunity to hear and chant along with him, also to engage in hearing nice kirtan.
COST PRICE FOR SANKIRTAN DISTRIBUTION
The producers of the kit run a printing company so are able to offer it at cost price for sankirtan distribution. That is £1.50 per unit plus shipping. The minimum order for cost price is 100 packs.
