Appreciation

I was childishly complaining within my mind to Krishna: “How come the books are going out and harinams are happening, but we are not shown any Krishna magic lately?” During the last five minutes of sankirtana, a lady named Nancy, with a half-English, half-Glasgow accent watched the chanters with a pleasant smile. I approached her, and she said, “When I was a child, we saw such chanting groups in the UK, and we always mocked and made fun of them. And now in my forties, today, I am standing here in...

Maya gets the mercy

Krishna prasad prabhu recalls:Very nice lady named Maya from Staten Island. Her father is Hindu and her mother is Catholic. When she was young she decided to follow Hinduism like her father and she really likes Ganesh and chants the Ganesh mantra to remove the obstacles in her life. I told her that her name is one of the names of Parvati the wife of Lord Shiva and the mother of Ganesh! Krishna teachings guided him, and now he will preach to others

I was distributing in Byron Bay. When I approached a man, he asked, “Do you remember me?” “No, sorry, I don’t.” “Three years ago, you gave me the Bhagavad-gita, and I gave you a donation. I thought it might help me through my troubled times. I had lost my business and my family, so I was drinking a lot. Basically I wanted to drink myself to death. Miserable. “I would drink and then read a few words from the Gita. Then I would drink more, then would read more. This went on for quite a few days....

During the marathon

I was on traveling sankirtana during the marathon. I was in Shepperton, two hours north of Melbourne. At one point, not many books were going out, and I was praying for help. Suddenly, a middle-aged lady appeared in front of me, and I introduced myself and offered her a Bhagavad-gita. She gracefully accepted the book with a sigh of surprise and excitement and said, “I have to tell you something. A few days ago, I saw a truck full of cows to be slaughtered, and I decided not to eat meat anymore. I had a dream last night. A yogi came and gave...
