The Second Day of Seminars in Mayapur

Hare Krsna Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. On the second day of the 2011 book distribution seminars in Mayapur, Sadbhuja Prabhu, the president of the Leipzig (Germany) temple, spoke. He said that a scholar in Germany did a survey of religious movements around the world and found that every decade hundreds of movements begin and stop. One of the main prerequisites for a movement to last, he found, is that it has to inspire its members to do voluntary service by going out to spread the message....

Paramatma and the time bomb affect

I was distributing books at the University of California Irvine campus in USA with Sachitanoy prabhu when I saw a young lady near by sitting and reading something. I looked closely and to my surprise she was reading "Krishna the Reservoir of Pleasure." I saw her reading and reading with a huge smile in her face. She finsihed the pamplet and as she was leaving I asked her, "Did you liked what your were reading?" And when he read in the book how important it is that this knowledge be distributed to others, he went to a print shop...

Desiring to continue distributing, I went to the new warehouse parking garage near the mall that I'd learned about a few days earlier. It wasn't so busy, yet I had some sweet exchanges. Not long after arriving there, I stopped a well-dressed Indian bodied South African man named Lesley, along with...

Sri Advaita Acarya’s Appearance Day Magic

On being dropped off in Hamilton city center in New Zealand by "The General" (Sriman Krishna Dasa Prabhu), I could immediately detect a very special atmosphere and felt unusually peaceful and confident. These feelings were further boosted by the minor austerity of the half-day fast. The whole day was magic, but there are four special exchanges I want to share with the devotees: 1) I stopped a very old man wearing a tartan hat. He was from Wales and of very cheerful disposition. After we indulged in a short glorification of Wales, he...
