Good Christians and Free of Stress Through the Holy Names

I was distributing in downtown LA at the Art Walk, where thousands of young artists gather. I approached a young lady walking with her daughter, who looked maybe six years old, and said, "Wow, you guys look so spiritual." The lady stopped and said, "Yes, because I have Jesus in my life." I didn't want to waste my time getting into it with a Christian, so I asked if she liked vegetarian food and gave her an invitation to our Govinda's Buffet, saying, "Really good food, all you can eat for just $7." To my...

Interfaith Encounter in Dundas Square

A few days ago I was distributing books in Dundas Square, Toronto, when I stopped a young man from Germany who was on vacation. I showed him a copy of "Beyond Birth and Death" and said a little something to pique his interest. In the middle my talk an elderly man distributing free copies of the Koran walked over from the corner and tried to hand him some books on Islam. Simple Living Defeats the Evangelist

We were in New Plymouth City, New Zealand, distributing Srila Prabhupada's books. It was the same day hundreds of Christians inundated the whole city after a convention and sausage sizzle in a nearby community park. Groups of them had gathered on most street corners, doing their Christian-style harinam by clapping and singing about Jesus. They were lively and inspired. If they had just added "Gauranga!" to the hymns they were singing, it would have been perfect. So I stopped this guy in his mid twenties. Brad was his name. We...

Gurudev Sends Help

Recently I was distributing on a college campus in San Diego CA. In the middle of the day Kali sent a fanatical Christian lady to disturb my service. About thirty seconds into our discussion I detected her envious purpose and ended the conversation, but she continued hounding me. I walked away to continue my distribution, but she followed me around, heckling me and cheering when students would pass up my offer. If a student showed interest, she would walk up and spoil the atmosphere. She was very eager to share her realizations on Satan and...

Book distribution in London

Jogging Book Distribution During one of our summer book marathons I was standing by the Covent Garden station in London feeling miserable because books were going out very slowly. Krsna was clearly testing my patience and humility. When I had almost given up and was about to take a break, I noticed someone jogging toward me. The jogger was a young business lady dressed in typical office wear. (Jogging and fitness in general are very popular among London's office workers.) Without hesitation I followed her impulsively, intending to catch...
