Grandmother, Mother and Daughter Get Mercy

I was outside the Govinda's at New Dwarka (Los Angeles), thinking about how I was unable to go out to distribute books. That's when I saw a girl sitting not far away from me. I started to chat with her. Quickly our conversation moved to the topic of chanting, and I showed her how to chant on beads. We decided to meet a little later during the day. We tried kirtan, and she started to express how over the years she'd met sankirtan devotees and collected lots of Prabhupada's books but hadn't read them yet. I talked to her...

London traffic jams, ki jai!

Today in London's Oxford Circus I was distributing the new Bhagavad Gitas, which are smaller, cheaper, and very attractive. Between meeting people on the street, I would approach the drivers of the black cabs stopped at the traffic lights and signal for them to roll down the window. He was absorbing and...

The Prabhupada Marathon

Dear Vaisnavas, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! That most auspicious time of the year, the Prabhupada Marathon, is coming to us very soon. The Prabhupada Marathon is total bliss. Why? Because this sankirtan movement is as Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, "anandambudhi vardanam" it is an ever expanding ocean of bliss. It's an oportunity to imerse ourselves in giving Krsna to others. Srila Prabhupada very nicely says in a purport of the Srimad Bhagavatam, "A Krsna conscious person should free...

Giving Krishna to Relatives

If you want to distribute many books or you lack scores for the marathon, Your relatives are the best ones to distribute many big books. For that purpose you cannot sell books to them, but you can collect donations and give sets of books as a gift. Christmas marathon is the best time to give spiritual gifts to Your relatives. Believe me, they will take them if they love You and You really want to give those books to them. Krishna says in "Krishna Book" that His devotee's ten generations before and after are already liberated....
