This happened in Oros.

Oros is the place in Maharashtra where all the govt. offices of Sindhudurg district are located. I went to one multi storey building where hundreds of offices are located. We covered the Govt. offices like education department, dept of medicine, dept of Agriculture and etc. In Agriculture department I went to the officer at his desk and surprisingly I saw photo of Sri Sri Radha Gopinath, deity being worshiped at our temple at ISKCON Chowpatty. The Kindness of Devotees

Alexy and I were at Ryerson University today. It was extremely windy and snow flakes were tearing across our eyeballs. It very hard to stop anyone. But one lady stopped, and she said she had met us before and had our books. Amazed, I asked her how. She said that twenty years ago she was a homeless, hungry kid, and now she is a professor at Ryerson University and she cannot forget how, when she was in need, a devotee kindly gave her a copy of Chant and Be Happy, which she read and carried with her through all the struggles in her life. She...

Yes, I want to connect! Yes, I want to connect!

At the end of my shift for the evening, I had a hardcover Bhagavad-gita and a "Chant and Be Happy" in my hands. I saw a young man outside a bar with a drink in one hand, a cigarette in the other. He was leaning against the wall, head down, looking dejected and morose. I asked him whether he’d ever tried yoga or meditation, and he said he’d done “hot yoga” (this is an aerobics-style workout in a steaming room). I said he hadn’t "seen nuthin’" and handed him Bhagavad-gita. He took one look...

Marathon Remembrances from Toronto

Cousin Nick! A lady was walking down the street when I waved to her. She stopped, came right up to me, and said, “Hey, Nick, how are you? It’s been so long.” When I looked at her doubtfully, she took a more careful look and said she thought I looked like her Greek cousin Nick who stands the way I stood and waves the way I waved, and smiles the way I smile. Well, thanks Cousin Nick! Your cousin took seven books on Krishna consciousness and offered a very generous donation. She chanted Hare Krishna with me on the street....
