Elevation to Krsna Consciousness

After distributing books at the Santa Moinca Mall, I was going back to my vehicle in a parking structure. While I stood inside the elevator, a man quickly came in before the door closed. I said to him, "You barely made it in." I had my book box with an assortment of books in it, which he saw, so he said, "You have quite an assortment of books there." "Yes, I distribute them. I'm a traveling monk. Can I show them to you?" I showed him my favorite book, the Bhagavad gita, and he liked it. So I asked him for a...

Rish and I were presenting Krsna Book to the sad and confused people of the area with some pleasant surprises. I stopped a boy in his late teens who was wearing a black cap saying: “Enjoy Coke” (cocaine). I adjusted my language to best relate. Tokyo ISKCON’s Former President Recalls Discovering the Gita

I was recently distributing books in Tokyo. I think Krsna's plan was to speed up my purification. I certainly need it. In the first few days of distributing it was very difficult, then I guess Krsna felt that I had enough purification and the books started going out, but not without lots of praying. While there I spoke to the previous temple president, Madhu Mangala Prabhu. I asked him how he joined — very interesting. Before he joined he was a stand-up comedian, but he got turned off by all the sinful activities that went along...
