Innocence of heart in buying books
We went door to door preaching. We started with an apartment and knocked on the door. A lady opened it. We introduced ourselves, and she allowed us to come inside. Trying to be friendly, we asked her well-being and slowly started showing her Srila Prabhupada's books. As we took books out, she started grabbing them one after another, turning their pages. Within five minutes she selected eleven books.
After inviting her to the temple, we left. At another house we knocked, again a lady came ot the dooor. We introduced ourselves and started showing her books. To our surprise she took fourteen books. She started feeling bad for she was unable to come to the temple for bhajan. Taking the opportunity, we did fifteen minutes of sankirtana in her house. She became happy and promised to visit the temple very soon.
The way they recieved Srila Prabhupada's mercy in the form of his books reflects the innocence of their hearts. Their grateful attitude after getting books is a great hope for us and boosts our enthusiasm to spead the Teachings of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu through Srila Prabhupada's books.
