Highly Humbled Yesterday And Today Now Highly Respected..

Book Distribution in Train

Rupesh Mahajan Prabhu, Bhandirvan bace Rupesh Mahajan Prabhu, a student at VJTI college of engineering has been a steady Book Distributor from Bhandirvan bace. With full enthusiasm he ventured on his first try on Books this year. On 1st dec, He went to CST outstation trains to distribute books. He hasn’t done anything like that before. With his college badge, he thought he would introduce himself first and then his mission. Rupesh Prabhu was in for a surprise. A Railway official saw him showing books in Vidarbha express train and immediately took him aside. He was then taken into Station masters office. He found himself standing along with other people who were also caught. Of course he stood quite contrast to the other vendors, so he was the first to be interrogated . Rupesh Prabhu replied that he came from a prestigious engg. college and that he was trying to help people get peace & tranquility in their life. He said he wasn’t shouting like other vendors troubling passengers but that he gently showed each passenger and if they are interested he would talk with them and give them book at discounted rate offered by ISKCON temple.

The Station master told Rupesh Prabhu about the railway norms and permissions required. Rupesh Prabhu had heard about some permission letter of Central and western railway from Bace devotees. Not knowing that it wasn’t the letter, station master was asking, Rupesh confidently said that we have permission letter and that next day he would carry along with him while distributing. Station master asked Rupesh Prabhu to leave and then he focussed his anger on other guys who were caught. Rupesh Prabhu came out happy but shocked with this first day book distribution experience. He was told by other devotees that book distribution gives out all kinds of experiences ‐ sometimes humbling and sometimes elation.

Next day Rupesh prabhu again goes to CST out station trains for his 2nd day experience. This time he gets another type of experience. He introduces himself to a marathi man and shows him gita. Impressed that such a young intelligent man is studying Gita as well as distributing Gita, the marathi man makes Rupesh Prabhu to sit down and tells him that I wanted someone to teach me Gita since long time and that now God has send him (Rupesh Prabhu) to not only give gita to him but also teach him. Rupesh Prabhu was experiencing another type of emotion ‐ different from yesterday. Rupesh Prabhu told him that this Gita is very nice, self‐explanatory ….simple purports. Finally as the train started moving, Rupesh bade him a farewell and got down. HIGHLY HUMBLED YESTERDAY AND TODAY NOW HIGHLY RESPECTED… "Aisa bhi hota hai". Rupesh Prabhu went the 3rd day again to CST for book distribution. This time he was awaiting yet another experience. He as usual introduced himself to his next customer ‐ that he was Engineering  student, that he reads Gita and that he is now sharing Gita with others. The man gravely saw Rupesh Prrabhu and ask him that if you are Student of Gita. Then pls tell me the name of first chapter of Gita. Rupesh Prabhu immediately replied that first chapter of Gita is "Observing the Armies on the Battlefield of Kurukshetra". The man opened the English gita , checked the name and confirmed it. He then asked name of 2nd chapter. Rupesh Prabhu replied "Contents of the Gita Summarized". The man rechecked and nodded. The Man's voice becoming less grave by now. He asks 3rd chapter…then 4th chapter….till 12th chapter…The man kept asking …and Rupesh Prabhu replied all answers correct. By 12th chapter, Man had mellowed down, become receptive and now became very respectful to Rupesh Prabhu. He asked him to take seat and appreciated his work and his knowledge of Gita. Rupesh Prabhu humbly told him that Srila Prabhupad was great saint and that he should buy and read the book. The man quickly brought the Gita. As Rupesh Prabhu was about to leave, this man called Rupesh Prabhu for a special request. He said just yesterday he had got a new born male child and that he was thinking of giving some name to his child. The man revealed to Rupesh Prabhu his request ‐ "Can you please give name to my new born child?". Rupesh Prabhu was surprised. He had never done anything like this before. He told the man that he was not on that level of capacity. The Man persisted. As train blew its hooter and was about to leave, Rupesh Prabhu was humbly checkmated to give name to this man's new born child. In Perfect Radha gopinath temple style, Rupesh Prabhu gave him 4 spiritual names starting from N and told him to choose from those 4 ‐ "… and then just in time got down from train.
