The Supreme Community Work…
Book distribution is never stagnant. Given enough creative freedom and encouragement, even a new devotee can device innovative strategies yielding tremendous result. One such event happened with Bh Amit (name changed on request) of Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir, Chowpatty. He recalls: One day I tried a famous shopping mall in south Mumbai. I went with 25 Bhagavad Gitas and Krsna books and went inside the mall. The moment I began...
“Are you reading my books?”
Adisekar das: He had the sankirtan leaders of that time from Bhagavan's zone have a little meeting with us. First he congratulated the devotees for the results. And he asked the first question, I think the only question he asked us, he said, "Are you reading my books?" Then Brghupati said, "You know, Prabhupada, we don't have much time, we don't have time to read." Then I heard, I was near, Prabhupada...
Reconciling Kindness and Firmness
For a whole week I'd experienced a profound sense of detachment while distributing books at the southbound platform within the illustrious Broadway-Lafayette subway station in New York City. My steadiness and purity of mind were unprecedented. I jotted down notes to myself on how one must be kind and smile at everyone, regardless of their response. Be light. That was the key. The next week I attempted to employ the realizations...
Amazon.com Makes Devotees

He still wanted to know about Krsna though, so he ordered a couple of books from Amazon.com about the life of Krsna...
A Suggestion
Hare Krsna, Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I'm in Brazil now, going out with the devotees and giving some talks on book distribution. Brazil is on the rise in book distribution. Many young men and women are joining and taking part in book distribution. An interesting feature of Brazil is that there is a very nice sannyasi here named Dhanvantari Swami, who teaches Bhakti-shastri. Every...
Param Vijayate!
I had only been inside a mall at Manukau (Auckland, New Zealand) for about 5 or 10 minutes when I was stopped by a lady. "Is that a Bhagavad-Gita?" pointing to the Srimad Bhagavatams and "Searching For Vedic India" under my arm. I replied, "This is Srimad Bhagavatam, it is spoken after the Gita. She took a great interest in the books and it happened that she was a yoga enthusiast since the age of 16 in Russia....
