Appreciation is an encouraging motivator

Last week I stopped a guy outside the Warehouse in Hamilton, CBD.

His name is Kedan, and he studies at WINTEC (Waikato Institute of Technology).

I showed him “Hiding In Unnatural Happiness”. Taking the book, he flipped through it.

As I talked about the book, he asked, “Does this have anything to do with Hare Krishna and the guys playing music on the streets? Because if it does, I’d be interested. That looks like real fun.”

Surprised by the question, I explained that this is true. He gave a donation and took both the book and a flyer for Mantra Lounge.

That Friday (18-05-18) he came to the program. During dinner we sat and talked. He explained how he had read the whole book in one night.

Amazing!

That night he took the Gita home with him.

This is what gives me the inspiration to keep going out. It is very encouraging to see someone appreciate the books and take more.
