Another Life Saved by Bhagavad Gita and Devotees

My Dear Prabhus,
On Tuesday I received a call from a lady in Nadi Fiji who was really depressed with life due to her husband giving her a very bad time, always beating her and trying to strip her naked in front of his friends when drunk. With depression she wanted to commit suicide.
During one of my book distribution programs in Nadi last year, we sold a Bhagavad-Gita to her and also gave my card which is why she knew me and thus called for help.
When I heard she wanted to commit suicide my entire body started shivering. I was stunned, than thinking of Guru and Krishna I asked her who she was, where she called from, and so came to know that I already knew her.
I asked her to take it easy and let me help her solve her problem since she just wanted to get over it and also wanted to talk to a devotee of Krishna. I remembered that Jairama Prabhu our president was going to Nadi so I called and spoke to Him and he agreed to meet her so I asked that lady to arrange a meeting with Jairama Prabhu on Wednesday.
In the meantime, I gave her the Maha mantra to chant so that Krishna will protect her from doing anything wrong, which she did with all her heart and even chanted the whole night and I also told her to treat me as her brother and call me anytime for anything.
She called me up later and confirmed her arrangement to meet Jairama Prabhu and said she did not know what to say. I asked her to tell him everything she had in mind as she would to Krishna and so she did. After their meeting she called me and told me what she decided to do, which was exactly what I had suggested.
Jairama Prabhu asked her to talk to her husband and in-laws and tell them if the husband does not change in a months time she will move on with life, He also arranged for her to call Harisauri Prabhu anytime of the night if anything happens so he can pick her up and take to his home. And if come worse, she can come to Suva .
I call this lady every day 2-3 times to keep checking how things are going, and whether or not she has spoke to her family and was told that she has and today she told me that her husband has promised not to cause any more trouble and will stop drinking alcohol.
She has continuously started chanting Hare Krishna and now is going to start reading the Bhagavad-Gita as, and is willing to gradually progress in Krishna Consciousness and also become a vegterian and so on.
Yesterday she wrote to me:
Hare Krishna brother. It has been a very bright morning for me after months of darkness. All Thanks to Krsna. I chant every free moment.
In this process it reminded me of my elder brothers whom I have lost who were addicted to alcohol and drugs and wished I could have come to Krishna Consciousness earlier so that I could have at least attempted to save them as well.
Your Servant,
Nityananda Das.
