An Unexpected Encounter in the Wilderness

I cannot stop realizing how His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada is so merciful to his “grandchildren” in giving us the service to spread Krishna consciousness everywhere.
I went with my family to June Lake. We were unable to find any spots at the campsite at 10 p.m., so we just set up our tent in the forest near the lake shore, which is not permitted.
At 7 a.m. (the temperature was 3 Celsius) I made a fire and was about to jump into the crystal-clear lake. A person stopped by the fire, because he was cold. His name was Vikas. I prayed to Srila Prabhupada to be an instrument and started preaching strongly to this person without any compromises about the purpose of human life. I mentioned that Indians are not serious and that they are victims of bogus gurus.
He was shocked to be having such an experience in the wilderness. I noticed his eyes expanding in size. He got inspired and accepted the fact that he was not serious about his life and Krsna.
Srila Prabhupada, thank you for allowing me, an unqualified person, to be your instrument. Vikas accepted a Srimad Bhagavatam set, a Bhagavad-gita, and a box of prasada. He got my email and phone contacts. He's just moved to San Jose from India with his wife and two kids. Several times he verified my contact info, so that I can deliver the books to him.
Jaya, Srila Prabhupada!
Your humble servant,
Kedaranatha Dasa
