Allow me to Understand How Fortunate I am.

Hurstville (Sydney Australia)

It was just me and the parampara distributing in Hurstville (Sydney Australia). One young man was interested in Krsna book but he was cashless so I went with him to the bank. I was distributing while waiting for him to get his money but some how he disappeared, with the Krsna book. I checked the bank and he was gone. I noticed he worked for a mobile shop in the mall by the shirt he was wearing, so I thought me and the parampara will drop in on him at his work a bit latter.

So I went on attempting to please Guru and Krsna. I was praying "Krsna please let me taste the nectar. Allow me to understand how fortunate I am to have this important service opportunity. Please help me." I could feel the atmosphere change at that very moment and my service became light and joyful. Even the occasional curse couldn't spook me.

Now some nectar. A little Indonesian lady pushing a pram walk into my sankirtan bubble. I handed her a Gita. I haven't had much luck with them so I was waiting for her to hand the Gita straight back. To my surprise, she said, after studying the cover. "Oh my daughter loves Krsna!!!!" I enthusiastically told her that I have one Krsna book left (I was saving it to read on the way home). "Would you like it instead?" She said yes and I safely ran across the road to get it. She happily gave $10 and told me her daughter is 8yrs old and she just loves Krsna. She said her one year old daughter, who was in the pram, her first word was "Buddha" and that her whole family are Buddhists but her 8yr old Daughter has a spontaneous attraction to Krsna. I mentioned how Buddha is an incarnation of Krsna and she was pleased.

After a full day of sweet and sometimes bitter sweet exchanges I thought I would try track down the slick and slippery one that got away. So I, being led by the parampara, infiltrated the mall. I saw in the distance, the young security guard whom kindly escorted me a few weeks earlier so I made a quick left turn to avoid him and there it was! The mobile phone shop. It was like Krsna led me straight there. I waited for the opportunity to speak to the busy phone salesmen and said "Oh sorry mate. I couldn't wait for you before but would you still like to give a donation?" He, sensing the wittiness of the parampara, happily sad yes and gave $20 straight of his wallet. So easy, simply relying on Krsna.

All Glories to Sri Krsna sankirtan! All glories to Guru, Srila Prabhupada, the Parampara and KRSNA.
