A Special Day for Book Distribution

Today in Watford (near Bhaktivedanta Manor), I met Hamza (holding the Bhagavad Gita in the attached photo) and Zayn, both of Pakistani descent, who follow Islam. We had a deep and heartfelt conversation about faith and purpose.
I shared that today is Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance anniversary, a sacred occasion when we honour the extraordinary soul who translated the Bhagavad Gita and many other books, and at the age of 69, journeyed to the West to share God consciousness with the world.
As I spoke about the Gita and the transformative power of connecting with God, Hamza shared that hearing about Srila Prabhupada and the Bhagavad Gita awakened within him a heartfelt desire to draw closer to God. With deep sincerity he accepted the Gita.
Zayn expressed genuine respect for what we do and admiration for the courage it takes to share spiritual wisdom in today’s world, saying it is an honour to support our mission.
Srila Prabhupada’s love and compassion touches hearts across all faiths, backgrounds and walks of life, proving that the longing to know God is universal and timeless. Even those who may not yet recognise their longing for the Divine find that when blessed with Srila Prabhupada’s books, the eternal connection within their hearts quietly awakens.
Srila Prabhupada, you are truly incredible. Thank you for engaging us in your magnanimous service, especially on your sacred disappearance day!
Your servant,
Gita Shakti Devi Dasi
