BTG Festival in Surat
BTG FESTIVAL NEWS IN SURAT.
Last week the 4th annual BTG festival was organised in surat. The festival was observed to honour and distribute prizes to those devotees who made subscription of BTG magazines. The prizes were given by the hand of H.H. Jayadvait Swami Maharaj and H.G Yashomatinandan Das. The festival was a great moment of 500 devotees gathering from all over Gujarat and other places of India who took active part in distribution of BTG magazines.
For years ago we restarted BTG magazine in Gujarati language. In just a short time of four years the subscription of BTG magazines increased from 2000 to 17000. All the congregational devotees are really enthusiastic in this service and making members, thus they are doing a great service to Srila Prabhupada and at the same time they are progressing in their spiritual life. We are all inspired by Srila Prabhupada who liked the distribution of BTG so much.
Prabhupada said:
1). "Back to Godhead" is my life and soul, so please try to distribute as many books as possible.
2). "This Back to Godhead Magazine will always remain the backbone of our society, because the more the magazine is popular,the more our society becomes popular"- SPL to Rayarama 30-01-1967.
3). " I still remember the hardships for pushing on this Back to Godhead. Therefore when BTG will be published not in hundreds and thousands, but in millions, that will give me great solace"- SP to Madhudvisha 14-04-1970.
4)." I am awaiting for the day when this paper will take the shape of "LIFE" magazine or similar other magazines in the matter of its popularity"- SPL to Rayarama-12-06-1967.
So lets get together to fulfil the desires of Srila Prabhupada.
