Let books be seen, and they get distributed!

I was reading the Srimad Bhagavatam during my morning metro journey to the office. When I deboarded the train at “Moulsari Avenue,” I was in the middle of a purport and wanted to complete it. Hence I was reading the book even in the lift. There were two young women in the lift, and one of them asked what I was reading with so much interest.

I said, “The Srimad Bhagavatam.”

She was happy to know that and said she’s also a spiritual person and has read the Bhagavad Gita.

I told her that there are more than five hundred commentaries on the Gita and the version by Srila Prabhupada is called Bhagavad Gita As It Is. I checked whether she has read this version and, if not, whether she would like to. She had read the Gita Press version and was interested in the book.

She informed me that she is a Mass Communication student, doing an internship in Gurugram; eventually, she would like to enter politics. Being a student, she couldn’t afford the full price of the books I gave her, but she made a donation. I was very happy to give her the Gita and five small books. I am sure that these books will positively influence her actions in whatever work she does in the future.

The amazing potency of Srila Prabhupada books is that they get distributed even when people just see them. When we read them during our journeys, these books will attract sincere souls and will get distributed. So, let’s take books along and read them wherever we go.
