On the subject of new markets for distributing Srila Prabhupada's books, the Sastra Dana program in conjunction with the “Temple Bhajan Band” has found a very lucrative audience for Srila Prabhupada's books. While the “Temple Bhajan Band” goes to the Yoga Studios to perform kirtan and distribute prasadam, the devotees have made good friends with the owners and managers of these studios. This last month the “Yoga Mandir”, Malibu Yoga”, and “Yoga Kaivalya” all took full sets of Srimad Bhagavatam and other main books, including Caitanya Caritamrta for the “Yoga Kaivalya” Studio. These Yoga Studios display the sets and allow their yoga students to read Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavatam. At “Yoga Mandir” in Santa Monica, where the “Temple Bhajan Band” performs twice a month, the manager gives out 50 to 100 of Srila Prabhupada's book to all of his students that come to the events. One event planned for the end of this month will be a conference for all of the yoga teachers in Los Angeles area. Not only will the “Temple Bhajan Band” perform, but Govinda's restaurant will cater the event, and each yoga instructor will receive a copy of the Bhagavad-gita CD-ROM, which is being supplemented by the Sastra Dana program. We only wish that every temple will start to do these programs in their own locale.
