Srila Prabhupada’s Preaching is the most Potent

In October 2009 BBT Sydney received a letter from a lady requesting some of Prabhupadas books. At the top of the list was Srimad Bhagavatam. Little did Marie know it was an 18 Volume spiritual bomb she was asking for. The letter from Marie was emailed to the ladies at the NZ Auckland Loft preaching centre. I arrived at Marie's place 15 minutes from the Loft with BGH,QFE,YEWW and SB1.1.
Marie is a 65 year old lady living with her elderly mother, she's been a catholic for 30 years. She first came across the Gita at a garage sale, she had seen references to it in another book of an Indian Guru. Sometime after reading the Gita a couple of times(she reads 1-2 hours most days) a friend delivered her a copy of the SSR, which after reading lead her to write requesting BBT for more books.
Of the book I had with me Marie had read them all except SB1.1. I walked her through the 1st canto then asked her to wait a moment while I got part two from the car. Returning with the first half of the Srimad bhgavatam set. Marie was simultaneously amazed and afraid of the amount of books which had arrived for her. Still her love and appreciation for the books of Prabhupada's she had read inspired her to take another Gita (as she had distributed her copy) and the first part of the 1st canto. Within a week she had finished reading the first canto and was thirsty for more. She began reading the Gita and started saving her pension for the set.
In the second week of the December book marathon Marie gave full payment for the set and since then is already up to second canto, she informs me what she's reading is making her so happy and it just keeps getting better. On her own accord she got japa beads from a local Indian spice shop and is chanting Hare Krsna, and gradually trying to give up smoking and meat eating. She even told me she wants to come out on Sankirtan… Srila Prabhupada's preaching is the most potent, I just deliver the Prasad and books and Prabhupada is doing the rest!
