The Results for 2012 Book Distribution

The year 2012 saw yet another increase over the previous year. Throughout the world 7,384,859 books were distributed by 277 temples. Surely Srila Prabhupada is pleased with the devotees of ISKCON, because 36 years after his departure millions of books are going out and devotees are joining worldwide. This is all his kind mercy!
I was surprised to see that New Delhi is again the number one. In late November Delhi was 174,000 points behind Mayapur, and I thought, "It's going to be hard for Delhi to win this year." Still, Delhi won. I don't know how, but it is amazing. Delhi did 1,025,061 book points in 2012.
For the last four years, Russia has taken second place behind India, but this year the USA captured the second place spot among countries. A competition between the two countries continues, so let's see what happens next year. Italy, with only eight temples reporting, took third place, with a 101% increase over last year's score. "Viva l'Italia!"
Ukraine, with 23 temples reporting, increased by 210% and came in fifth in the world among countries. These devotees are special, as it's cold in Ukraine and the people are poor. But thanks to the devotees' sincerity 207,000 books were distributed in Ukraine last year.
