Sankirtan stories from the RVC

Sankirtan stories

We were on Harinam chanting outside a large cinema which is also a kind of shopping center etc. One middle aged man came out with his wife. Bhakta Ryan approached him and gave him a book. He immediately started to get his wallet out but his wife became very determined not to let him give a donation and started to physically drag him away. He was also quite determined to give a donation and although his wife was dragging him along the street he and Ryan held onto each other and when his wife tried to grab the money out of his hand he slipped it to his other hand and into Ryans hand and made the victory sign just as his wife finally dragged him down the street.

Adi Purusha Prabhu was on Sankirtan in a black area doing the parking lots and the street. At one point a nice man with his family in the car drove up to where he was distributing and asked "Is that the nectar of devotion". Adi Pususha replied "No it is the nectar of instruction". He said that he had that one. After a little discussion he said that although he had read the Science of Self realization he did not have it so he gave a donation and took it. Adi Purusha asked him if he had ever been to a temple. He replied that he had never met devotees or been to a temple and said, "I just like reading the swamis books". Then Adi gave him and invitiation and he said that now he would come to the temple that he knew about it.
